I've got a few of these rattling around on my hard drive. I guess I'm not sick *enough* of them yet?

Omg that’s even worse. “You want me to say what? To who?”

Without a doubt. I assumed I was getting called out for Death Cab for Cutie 😂

I’ll keep an eye out for it!

Ooh what’s that one like? The standard Bells are in steady rotation in my fridge, here but I don’t think I’ve ever tasted or even seen the Christmas Ale!

I had my first Great Lakes Christmas Ale of the season tonight though!

Yeah I’m very conscious of that these days as my arch millennial cultural references land less each year 😬

Those are good ones - the only other one I remember from my handout is Death Cab for Cutie, “Transatlanticism,” but I’m sure there are more.

Oh and “House of the Rising Sun” for minor, mostly because the video is so very fashionable…students really get a kick out of it

Actually all these local ads are just read by the same guy, it’s so good. Back to back to back. In fact I think it’s one of the commentators, so I’m not convinced this whole thing isn’t just two guys broadcasting from someone’s rec room in Woburn.

The game is on “92.9 Bloomberg Radio Boston” and I just heard a commercial for a socially responsible hedge fund so it’s all very on-brand.

Ah, that might have been in there too, all I remember is multiple Foster songs.

I actually pulled Puff out last year, since it’s still on my handout, and students loved it 🤓

In grad school, I discovered that the Laitz Complete Musician book had only Stephen Foster for “pop” examples 🥴
