Update on the painting - "blood" layer!! Colors are cadmium red vermillion as the hue with ultramarine blue for shadows and lead white for highlights. Cad red Vermillion is one of my absolute fave colors, it is SO bright and vivid

This is the best graphic I could find that begins to visually explain the difference (source: flightless.us/2019/12/30/p...) but it's not just red/blue/yellow.

I have never done white work and also am chronically terrible at following patterns (I do my stuff mostly or entirely freehand) but I love embroidering on linen!!
