All this is especially egregious given how expensive nice clothes have gotten!! Bt fast fashion & enshitification, even mediocre clothes are $$$ now & they don't even last. Unless u have the time & skill for either thrifting or sewing, how tf are average people supposed to afford dressing nice?!?
The people I know who do dress well do so out of love - they MAKE the time to do it, because it brings them joy. Pushing a narrative that people dressing sloppy is a moral failing is hyper-classist. Pay people more and give them time to enjoy life and maybe we'll all look nicer for you.
