I haven’t done this in a minute, but this was book 49 of 2025. Tech Agnostic by @gregmepstein.bsky.social - it felt like a pretty necessary read, and I highly recommend it. #booksky

A bill passed the TN senate today that would require children to be taught in school that in order to be successful in life, you must get married and have children. I don’t even know how to process this.

Newest update on my digital minimalism hyperfixation: I’m still using (and loving) @dumbphoneapp.bsky.social and I have my phone set to grayscale. I’ve added a matte screen protector to the mix and I’m loving how close to an e-ink look I am getting. 🤓

One of my greatest reading joys is queer YA fiction. It is so healing as an adult to read stories that a younger me never had the chance to encounter. Book 21 of 2025 was Camp by L.C. Rosen and it was so lovely! #booksky #YAfiction

I’m not ready to go back to my normal pace of life, if I’m being honest.

We made our way to @politicsprose.bsky.social today and it was a very good idea. #booksky

Are you finding your moments of peace? For me, that means getting up early, stitching and finding time to study (my 3rd time with @danhotchkiss.bsky.social’s Governance & Ministry 😬). The world demands our attention. We can give so much more if we prioritize moments of quiet. Take care of yourself.🤍

I think about this at least once a day.

Stitches over scrolling = my 4-year-old asked for a “purple pillow with a butterfly on it” 🧶

Book 14 of 2025 was Dust by Hugh Howey. I stretched this trilogy out over a year’s time and I ate up every page of each book. The tenacity of the characters in the story was particularly helpful in this moment. #BookSky

Book 13 of 2025 was Sarahland by Sam Cohen. Funny, interesting, and captivating queer short stories. I really enjoyed it! #BookSky

I came home from my trip up to seminary to a (non-Amazon!) book haul. Consolations II by David White, a very beautiful used copy of The Dispossed by Ursula K. LeGuin, and Gathering Up the Fragments by Bp. Mariann Edgar Budde. 📚 #BookSky

Book 12 of 2025 was Unbound by Tarana Burke. I’m not even sure how to articulate how powerful this book is. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #BookSky

Book 10 of 2025 was Listening in the Dark by @ambertamblyn.bsky.social and an incredible suite of woman writers. This book gave me so much more than I was expecting and was a much needed boon in this moment where the noise of the world is working so hard to drown out our inner knowing. #BookSky
