OpenAI already in the reaping stage. Maybe they’ll start pushing for regulation around data licensing if only to price out the competition.

As a sucker for stories about people pursuing their dreams I loved Look Back, an anime film based on a one shot by Tatsuki Fujimoto(author of Chainsaw Man, which is also excellent).

Beautifully animated and emotionally resonant for me. Well worth checking out.

Ive been reading Prophet Song by Paul Lynch, its an excellent book exploring how authoritarianism affects those who cannot uproot and fight back, written in a paragraphless style that instills anxiety into every page.

However it is the opposite of escapism, so i think itll be a dnf for now.

Just finished reading ‘The Vegetarian’. Became interested in this after Han Kang won the Nobel prize.

An extremely uncomfortable, engrossing read. Strong criticism of the intense patriarchy of korean society. Im sure I’ve missed many other themes and ideas present.

This one will stick with me 💙📚

Just finished reading The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida after picking it up on a whim.

A Sri Lankan Ghost Trick, Maali Almeida has to find a way of getting his collection of revealing photos of the civil war published and seen, this is made very difficult as he is dead.

Highly recommend it 📚💙

I know Ubisoft are struggling but porting their games to audiobook doesn’t seem like the play.
