Is Russia still receiving 152mm shells and 122mm rockets from best Korea? Doubtful. If they had them to send they would, and keep their front line 170mm SPGs and 240mmMLRS, in small quantities, stripped from active units. How will Russia replace the 6Mil shells? #Ukraine#Russia#NorthKorea

1)The increased anxiety related to China's preparation for an assault on Taiwan are reaching a fever pitch, primarily driven by their nonchalant display of the Ro-Ro beach access barge system. This ignores that we live in a munitions based world.#Taiwan

The logical next step for Europe in replacing US intelligence is to provide Ukraine with AWACs or other AEW platforms capable of tracking missiles and launches. So where are the SAAB 340B AEW 300 aircraft Sweden pledged last May?

5/If technical or political concerns prevent the delivery of these aircraft, France, Germany, or UK must step up and provide this requirement, by donation, lease or direct commitment of AWACs capable assets to the Ukrainian theater.
March 6, 2025 at 7:43 PM
4/ Sweden pledged two Saab 240B AEW aircraft last May, which would go a long way to providing this capability. The coalition of the willing should work to expedite the delivery of these pledged aircraft.
March 6, 2025 at 7:40 PM
3/ A larger problem is losing the ability to track ballistic and cruise missiles in real time, seriously hampering the ability to interdict the attacks. This can be mitigated by the provision of AWAC assets to Ukraine, with the added benefit of more robust tracking of Russian tactical air assets.
March 6, 2025 at 7:37 PM
Missile systems such as stormshadow and atacms will lose their ability to hit time sensitive targets, unless the French system can be modified to provide such real time targeting info, but a system where HIMARS receives targeting info directly from surveillance drones is a software problem.
March 6, 2025 at 7:32 PM
1/The withdrawal of US intelligence sharing is bad, but may not be fatal. The French satellite system is sufficient to provide exact target identification of stationary targets, such as ammo dumps and refineries, so the long range drone campaign should be unaffected.

What US military aid is Trump freezing? 90% of Joe Biden's 2024 assistance package has been delivered, and it was already known that Trum wouldn't be proposing any additional aid in 2025.
March 4, 2025 at 5:14 PM
Trump and Vance are right, Ukraine should be more thankful for aid provided. THANK YOU JOE BIDEN.

6/ This shortfall can be overcome in sectors where the 170mm SPGs are deployed, but the logistics of providing a steady supply of shells to more than a few sectors would be questionable. The reported decrease in daily RU artillery volume may be permanent.
March 2, 2025 at 11:12 PM
5/This has serious implications. The NK stockpile represented ~50% of Russia’s available shells last year, and if exhausted, RU only has 8000-9000 152mm shells available per day (assuming RU’s self reported production capacity is accurate). This is well below the common shelling rate for 2024.
March 2, 2025 at 11:12 PM
4/It is more likely NK has exhausted its stockpile of surplus 152mm munitions, never a major caliber of NK artillery. New production of 152mm shells can’t be substantial in context. 3-5 million shells (some in shocking condition) may be the extent of shells available .
March 2, 2025 at 11:11 PM
3/It is doubtful that the systems are supplied because of a shortage of SPG systems- Though stockpile analysis shows stored stocks are depleted, Russia isn’t out of 152mm guns, and NK has ‘some’152mm systems (towed and SPGs) it could have sent if guns were the issue.
March 2, 2025 at 11:11 PM
2/HUR reports ~120 such systems have been delivered or are in transit, as well as munitions and crews for their operation (approximately 25% of Best Korea’s arsenal of this weapon). This is an odd weapon for them to provide, as Russia has no stockpile of 170mm munitions

Drilling Down on Best Korean provision of 170mm Koksan SPGs.
1/I have been puzzled by reports that North Korea has been providing Russia with 170mm M-1978/89 Koksan Self Propelled Howitzers.

It doesn't look like HighMarsed, Jompy, CovertCabal or Waffentraeger have migrated to Blue Sky.

Russia has run through its IFVs and APCs, then trucks, then civilian trucks, loafs and Ladas, then Chinese buggies and carts and motorcycles and now bicycles. It was only a matter of time until we saw row boats.

/This is an epically bad Idea. I hope it happens.

I’m looking for analysis of what men and equipment Russia looses for every square km taken. Does anyone know of a source for this?

Our Ukrainian forces urgently need $120,000 for vital engineering equipment to secure positions, with only $20,000 raised so far. Excavators and cranes save manpower and keep troops safe. Please donate and share to help reach our goal! ⤵️
