Marxist socialism/communism (same thing) is when we all own the means of production and distribution (factories, utilities, natural resources etc). No ruling class. No state control. Money abolished. Voluntary working. Free access to goods and services.
class exploiting working people by acquiring the means of production and distribution (natural resources, factories etc), and then profiting by selling those working people the goods and services they need — which those same working people actually provide in the first place!

slice of the cake, we want the bakery”. Yes, let’s just get rid of capitalism and run society on a for-need not a for-profit basis. A real socialist world — no bosses, no wage slaves, just people cooperating freely. That really is ‘for the many’ — nothing else comes close.

...could be used. And with real socialism completely ending today’s money-wages-profits system, all the buildings being used now for finance, insurance, taxation, welfare benefits, debt collection, manufacturing money-related products etc, could all be converted or demolished to provide new homes.
