Disgusting, pathetic, and sadly, today’s norm. Congratulations, sincerely.

No, she has earned no free pass. This is an act, she’s clever enough to see the tide turning. Someone ask her how she still feels about Jan 6. We don’t need another Fetterman in our tent.

Sounds amazing. Now, off to order a copy.

I studied music. I get the reasoning of vowel sonority in vocal performance, but the grammatical error adds an inexcusable dissonance. Lazy writing, find another way.

I’ll never forget seeing TFA with my mom and Kylo takes off his helmet. She turns to me and says “he looks like an evil ice skater.” I almost passed out from trying not to laugh too much.

Considering they drink coffee every waking hour of the day, one has to pace oneself.
My Icelandic mother’s routine:
Make a pot of coffee.
Finish it.
Make another pot.
Repeat.

Gross. Reinforcing the old “men that read are soft” trope. When I was in the Navy my roommate’s friend (all Navy guys) looked at my bookshelf and said, completely seriously, “Why do you have so many books? What are you, a fa****?”

The “Bootstraps” idiom was originally meant to refer to the literally impossible. It was co-opted.
Idiom Origin

“pull yourself up by your bootstraps”

This was originally *sarcasm* & meant to convey that the act was impossible.

A boot strap is a loop used to help put your boot on.

This 1921 cartoon from the “Nonpartisan Leader” showcases that you can’t pull upward on your boots to levitate.

It is, but the minority party cannot unilaterally change the rules. Republicans have indeed found ways to stall and frustrate the process in the past, but they did so in cases where the process wasn’t so clearly laid out. It sucks, but even the republicans would be at a standstill here.

This is terribly misleading. He is indeed obstructing, but the House must be in session for the swearing in. It is not. And for anyone other than the Speaker to administer the oath, they have to approved by a vote in the House.
