I have seen a D&D 3.5 Rogue with roughly +15 to almost all of his checks fail to beat a DC 25 for 6 hours of play. I've seen a Crusader optimized to completely wreck people's faces with +30 to-hit fail to hit a single attack multiple sessions in a row.

decided to look into how 2024/2025 5.5e D&D is going. Apparently they're adding group casting (Called 'Circle Casting') to spellcasters that allow them to do some stupid shit to their spells, you just gotta take the magic action at the same time as another caster and sometimes spend a spell

so in all my searching, because I am looking for rules, the best one I found to work with as a basis comes from Wrath and Glory, starts on page 181, but here's some screenshots because I otherwise don't respect the game.
