❤️ Ces Syriens à qui nous avons tourné le dos. J’espère de tout cœur les voir se relever, guérir et prospérer avec la force et la dignité qui leur appartiennent

Thank you for highlighting that their victory and celebrations cannot be ours. This triumph indeed belongs to them—those who carry the memory of the Syria that was before the wars, the Syria of poetry, of resilience the Arab world envied. May they reclaim that legacy in their own name ❤️

Leave pigs out of this. Senator McCain was a respected congressman, and he visited a US-backed coalition—The Free Syrian Army was formed as a group of secular opponents. I truly question your judgement, and I mean every offense that goes with my statement.

But their victory is not our victory. Indeed their victory is in spite of our utter failure to help them in their hour of need. Their celebrations cannot rightly be ours, for we discarded them. We have made the decision to discard Syria over and over again ever since Obama's ignored red lines.

As we celebrate the end of the Assad regime - one of the worst dictatorships still intact anywhere in the world - it must chide us Americans that we did so little to bring this end about. The dream of the Syrian people is our dream, the dream of all mankind. Peace, safety, freedom.

We have already failed the Syrian people in 2012, then the refugee crisis that led to kids drowning in the Mediterranean. I cannot wait to see these people prosper, rebuild the Syria that was rich in history, in culture, diversity. They deserve so much better than Assad-Isis-Assad pipeline

Yeah this isn’t the flex you think it is. These dudes were fighting Assad and Isis. They were out supporting their people during peaceful protests against bashar during the Arab spring. youtu.be/nXzbnbgqAtQ?...

I don’t think the hundreds of 14+millions of Syrian refugees from the past decade or 500k+ killed in Syria would appreciate their struggle being called a smokescreen.

I truly hope this isn’t a short lived victory for the people Syria, similar to 2012. They deserve better
