i do miss the smaller scope of true handhelds but like my steam deck is a whole linux PC crammed into a tablet with controllers on the side. i don't really think the modern handheld market is a space lacking in opportunities for experimentation

there definitely is demand for an emulation frontend for handhelds that isn't as bloated and complex as retroarch, but it ain't worth supporting All This [gestures dramatically]
