NYC Capital Project Idea:
Gravesend Bay in Brooklyn used to be edged with natural sand beach (historic photo is 1924, when we had already started landfilling the beach. If we install jetties like we have at Rockaway, it will catch and hold sand and create more beach habitat for plovers/seals etc.
