Overjoyed to finally announce that I worked on The Last Caretaker, a new sci-fi survival sim from Channel 37 available now in early access on Steam! Extremely proud to have gotten to contribute to such a cool and unique title, I hope you all get the chance to try it out and enjoy!

Let it be known that the Cowboy Shotgun in REmake 4 VR js maybe the most fun any gun has ever been in VR. Straight up T2 shit. I’m not pressing a button to reload btw, actually flicking my wrist. It fucking *rules*.

...but rather to emphasize Spencer specifically. There's been a bit of speculation that the helmeted man seen in RE9's most recent trailers may in fact be a resurrected Spencer, having survived Wesker's killing blow in 2006. I'm still not convinced, but I will say that the wounds are similar.

Dunno how the hell I missed it, but there's potentially a HUGE clue hidden in this video -- on Maggie's conspiracy board, Alyssa is connected directly to Spencer. Perhaps the video leaving out Marcus and Ashford portraits was more than just not wanting to use 20 year old renders...

Yeah, around 2011 I think? They revised them to just have character stills from the games, I think they’re kinda lame.
And yeah the colors look kinda over saturated in that pic, weird.

Also worth mentioning just how influential these novels have been on extended media as well. Both Romero’s RE script and Welcome to Raccoon City use the PDA map from Perry’s novelization, and Resident Evil: Retribution uses the exact same premise as her original RE novel, Underworld

Been re-reading the original Resident Evil novelizations by SD Perry, first time in… probably 20 years , and they’re amazing time capsules. Between the constantly retconned lore as each game released and ads for toys/merch in the back, its a version of RE that straight up doesn’t exist anymore.

I hadn’t really taken the time to really examine the obvious puzzle box in the corner of the villain reveal shot before, but gettign a chance to really look at it, it bares a striking similarity to a number of previous RE puzzle. Much like RE8, this is clearly pulling from RE history for new puzzles

Based on the Deluxe Edition having 5 costumes and Grace having two announced, I'm betting that Grace's third costume will be Alyssa's Outbreak costume, so that way Grace's costumes are also a nostalgic collection for the 30th anniversary. The movies, Big Tiddy Vampire Mommy, and Outbreak.

Yep! It's sort of a blend of Alice and Claire's costumes from Resident Evil: Extinction, which is a nice touch when you consider Alyssa had an Alice costume in Outbreak as well.

There are SO many deep cut nods to old Resident Evil stuff in and around this game. The "30th anniversary" feeling to all of it is really palpable and feels like it's coming from a place of genuine adoration for the series' history. And this is just what we've seen SO FAR.

Might as well add it to this thread, I'm super interested in these two parts of the deluxe edition content -- the "Raccoon City Classic" audio pack, and the "Letters from 1998" files. Presumably classic RE2/2/Outbreak music, and maybe something akin to the lore dump dlc file RE8 had?
