18: Logan Lucky - 2017

A heist movie about hillbillies from West Virginia. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, who also did Ocean's 11, and like O11 its fun and funny. But it's brilliant in how it not only showcases class distinctions but weaves them into the heist scheme.

19: Dredd - 2011

A remake of a comic book adaptation that nobody wanted, but it did everything right.

The entire movie takes place inside a dystopian apartment complex. The villain, ma-ma, is sympathetic and intriguing, while Judge Anderson provides a much needed human counterpart to Dredd.

28: Snow Piercer - 2013

The concept doesn't really work if you think about it too much, but the journey to the front of the train is memorable and mesmerized.

27: Blade Runner 2049

Not quite as compelling as the original, but incredibly well done nonetheless. The world it portrays feels real.

35: Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 2015

Oh what could have been! Although ruined by its sequels, this was everything we wanted in a Star Wars movie. Daisy Ridley and John Boyega are perfect as newcomers Rey and Finn.
The story was not original but the characters more than made up for it.
