Sapphire and Steel has a weird SF premise, but a lot of it may as well be ghost stories. It's very good.
Along those lines, The Stone Tape is a mostly excellent SF horror TV movie with the premise that stones record events. Just beware the ugly bit of anti-Japanese racism mid-way through.
