This was a beautiful steep hike w/ several waterfalls. While climbing up rocks my husband uttered something that sounded to me like "hoo-rah" so I got "Come On Eileen" stuck in my head for several hours (toora, loora, funny how the mind works, eh?).

Each lantern represents one section of a prose poem, the text of which appears throughout the artwork as texture & post-textual material.

Among various hats I wear, I'm the Fundraising Coordinator for Ashfield's all-volunteer Annual Fall Festival. So I've spent the day personalizing and sending those necessary solicitarions & including this sweet scene of our little town, taken early this morning while out buying milk.

From yesterday’s walk, a photo for a lovely site that creates space for crowd-sourced time-lapses of natural areas. The results are fun to watch and to be part of - check out one near to (or far from) you …

“let the hurdy gurdy play”

all day I had this lyrical earworm anticipating Echelard & Cooley‘s performance + it seems fitting to close this eclectic event: “if you can abide it / let the hurdy gurdy play / stranger ones have come by here / before they flew away” #chinadoll #gratefuldead

This guy made me happy because the French horn was one of the instruments I played as a kid (ages 9-14 approx) and you don't see them all that often really.
