My fifth book, I’m Not Your Muse: Uncovering the Overshadowed Brilliance of Women Artists & Visionaries comes out one month from today. To say I am nervous about the reception of a book celebrating great women in this climate is an understatement.😵💫

"Are you a war correspondent or a wife in my bed?" read a cable sent by Ernest Hemingway in 1943 to his 3rd wife, journalist Martha Gellhorn, who was covering the Italian front and would go on to be the only woman on the beaches of Normandy on D Day. She divorced him two years later. #booksky
