Friendsgiving trip to New Orleans! We went down because Bill ran a race at Stennis Space Center, and the Crescent City is less than an hour away. My first Thanksgiving trip ever and also the first away from my family. Checked THREE more states off the list with the train trip down: TN, MS, & LA!

Um, this should not happen, especially on a day where I was sitting on a train until 3 pm.

Book 19 of my Book in Each State Challenge: Minnesota — This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger. It’s about an orphan boy who escapes from an Indian boarding school with three other kids and their adventures along the way. It was really good and I finished it the other day.

Holy crap! I did my fourth 5K this morning, my second Fall Color 5K. I obliterated my previous times and achieved my goal! I may be a walker but I’m still really proud of myself, especially because I was feeling pretty terrible on Wednesday.

I hiked with both my Fitbit and Apple Watch today. Confirmed that the mileage is way off since that Fitbit update last summer. I love that the Apple Watch gives you a weather summary!

Yesterday in our breakout session at the staff meeting, a district coach talked about the high impact strategy of vocabulary instruction at .67, and almost all of us adults looked at each other and said, “Six seven!” 🤣🤣🤣
