FYI an absolute LIFE SAVER for making decals, or developing your own freelance railroad is to use the fonts available from "Rail Fonts" one of the oldest digital type foundries around.
Saved my bacon multiple times doing various projects.

Rochester, MN, was located on secondary lines of the Chicago & North Western and the Chicago Great Western but managed to get multiple name trains with unique equipment: the CGW Red Bird, the CGW Blue Bird, and the CNW Minnesota 400.

Been updating my fictional shortline railroad recently, & one major thing I wanted to do was make an official logo.
Technically, there is already one in use, but its slightly outdated once NI&W takes over IARail & expands their system into Iowa, so this one is an in-canon replacement for it.

Which is also to say that "Roster Shots" are still an invaluable documentary format for historical & modelmaking research.
Plus people get real obsessive with the format. Just ask older photogs about "rods down" steam locomotive portraiture.

There's not much on this one already, but it still seems rather overkill for something meant to be purposefully simple while still somewhat eye catching.
