Still going to make changes to the next shirt but the pattern is like 90% good. You're not supposed to pre-shrink muslin but because I did (by accident) the fabric has taken on a lovely soft organic cotton feel & therefore this silly garment with contrast stitching will absolutely be worn in public

Finished adding the buttons in time to do a fit test at an election night watch party. (Making button holes on a machine is so satisfying btw.) Fit successful. Mamdani also successful. Coincidence? Yesterday I fucked around with pocket sizes and ended up adding three lol. Test garment: complete

This "muslin" is my test garment to check the pattern I drew, using red thread so I can pick it out easily & adjust (which I've spent many, many hours doing). Tested a bunch of fUnKy button options I eventually rejected. My "office" is now a sewing studio so I use my laptop on an ironing board lol
