She showed up mid-scene.
Didn’t say where she came from. Didn’t need to.
Took the corner, rearranged it. Left the walls wondering what just happened.
Stayed long enough to soften the paint.

a crayon in hand I commit an act of color. The bow arrives first, too pink, too confident, like it walked in knowing something. Tears next, completely unsupervised. The words crash down, yelling before I even invite them: “I’M NOT CRYING.”

I press harder. The crayons giggle. I don’t trust them.

so I keep forgetting this place exists... anyhow here’s a little bit of a project I'm working on...
