Numens is an Urban Fantasy TTRPG set in modern times in a once very spiritual asian valley, now turned globalized metropolis, where everyone is trying their best to find their place in the world while dealing with an emotionally-charged paranormal world.
When i read this i read "Another example of the unsustainable system we live in is the fault of people that don't engage in it because that system fucked them over" lol

The people who actually believe this is fine should be studied in a lab. Why why WHY would you want a machine to speak on behalf of another person in a CREATIVE ENDEAVOR. Do people in the AI industry think that ANYTHING about people can't be replaced? Their company? Their humor? THEIR WARMTH?

One I had to stop myself from is information retention. The fear that the players may learn too much too fast. I did a couple sessions where they left frustrated because they felt like they learned nothing.

One I don't do but was "victim" of is masters already writing the resolution in the prep.

- finally, his Network of friends, that will influence the first two. Making friends is important in Numens, vital even. The characters will want to hang out with some characters more than others, in the end, and they will eventually influence him a bit

- Attitudes that describe how the character approaches situations
- Vibes that are a mix of what the character does, what job he has, which hobbies he enjoys, what his friends tell about him

On one side, i want them to grow naturally with player interaction. On the other, i want them to be structured in such a way that more mechanics-oriented players don't have to struggle excessively and stay behind others that may be more outgoing.

From what i've seen from many campaigns, players tend to grow fond of NPCs that you never thought much of. In a setting that's mostly in a single city district you end up with a solid recurrent cast so i want to encourage this dynamic. Fostering a relationship with npcs should both help AND be fun

So i'm trying for this instead: i'll either give freedom to name your skills, but i'll give guidelines on what those names will be, or i will give an actual list, but i'll leave it open to add and subtract depending on need like in FATE. I think it will work best for Numens

On the opposide side of the spectrum you have The Burning Wheel's 200 specific skills that have a single use that may or may not appear in a campagin, which could be a lot of fun in the right setting, but it doesn't really work for what i'm trying to set as a vibe-
