I saw something special at the beehive... an orientation flight, where hundreds of young bees take their first flight, looping around the hive in increasingly large circles to gain familiarity with their surroundings and memorize the location of the hive. WOW!!!

Every few years (ever since I read Into Thin Air a decade+ ago) I go into a hole of reading everything new I can get my hands on about Everest & the Himalayas, and I form intensely strong & confident opinions about climbing them, something I could never physically do

A random very good yard sale find earlier made me think about how books rereleased after film adaptations with a new movie poster cover would be a lot cooler if they came with essays, introductions, and set photos from the film. I will ALWAYS read a relevant essay
