In confirmation hearing for VADM Correll as new STRATCOM head, part of mission of Golden Dome missile defense is to “guarantee a second strike capability.” A tall order since China’s current nuke buildup is already partly a response to such defenses. www.armed-services.senate.gov/hearings/to-...

Lots of tankers, recon, command and control aircraft over the United States tonight. Bombers don’t track. Wonder if it’s part of the culmination of STRATCOM exercise Global Thunder. Tonight/early morning also has scheduled Minuteman III ICBM launch.

A US B-52 apparently conducted a flight test of new long-range (unarmed) nuclear cruise missile (LRSO). Photos who two missiles under the wing. Report below.

LRSO will arm both B-52 and B-21 bombers from the end of this decade.

Thousands of federal workers were fired by the Trump regime to "improve government efficiency." So here is the NNSA announcing a milestone for the new W80-4 cruise missile warhead...with a picture of the old B83 nuclear bomb that has been retired. www.energy.gov/nnsa/article...

1/n - Trump says something about nuclear weapons tests...It’s hard to know what he means. As usual, he’s unclear, all over the map, and wrong.

1. The United States has more Nuclear Weapons than any other country.

Wrong. Russia has more nuclear weapons than the United States.

The B-1 bombers are returning after more than 14 hours in the air and an in-your-face mission to just outside Venezuelan airspace, along the coast, and back.

Just watched #AHouseOfDynamite…great entertainment, nuclear risks are vital to address. The movie raises important questions about human reaction in nuclear crisis, But a single attack triggering larger nuclear retaliation seems hyped.

Trump has demolished the whole east wing of the White House as if it’s his personal golf club to build a bribery ballroom. Donors include businesses with big government contracts. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

Nothing to see here. Please move on.

2/3 Although required by law to provide cost growth notifications to Congress, NNSA has not developed an effective process to consistently provide notifications of reportable cost growth. A lack of written NNSA guidance has led to missing or deficient root cause assessments.
