Today I saw a baby alpaca with a white goatee.

A black or dark brown baby alpaca with soft curly fur. It looks directly at the viewer with ears pointed curiously forwards. Its chin and lips area have white fuzzy hair, contrasting with the rest of its fur.

Spore heads of two different slime molds. Patches of red balls very close together. Around those patches are hundreds of white balls, like styrofoam balls. And they are a bit more loosely spaced.

This nice bronze-colored beetle is the spotted big-eyed beetle (Notiophilus biguttatus).

Springtails eat slime molds, and these beetles eat the springtails.

The top layer is a thin membrane just barely stretched over all those pleats.
