Totally. I did always think (still do think) Segways are pretty awesome, but people like to walk and bike and skate...

In 2001, the Segway was released with great fanfare. Everyone would want one. It was going to catalyze a revolution in human mobility. Cities would be built around their capabilities. Eventually, of course, none of that happened, and the company's president fell off a cliff riding one. Memories.

Sounds like a euphemism for a heart attack.

It carries a brutal 30-day turnaround and a wide array of Absolute Priorities. The grapevine suggests the program is really a way to (A) spend congressionally-appropriated FY25 money that Sec McMahon has leftover from gutting the workforce, and (B) channel dollars to cronies in higher ed. –>

I mean, John @palfrey.org is on here. I wonder if he's thought about taking on more of an operating stance, as a complement to the Foundation's awesome philanthropic work.

Seems strange that Gisele has been no where near this memoir rollout, given how personal the content is. From an outsiders perspective, looks like zero support. I assume their marriage is pretty well over?

You know it's bad when even some GOP reps are going public about being icked out by it...

GOP Rep. John Rose on GOP senators' taxpayer-funded payouts: "I'm calling on senators to disavow this, including Marsha Blackburn, who unfortunately apparently telegraphed she's planning to take advantage of this opportunity to put millions of dollars in her pocket at the expense of the taxpayer"
