Eddie confirms that #NUFC had appealed Fabian Schär’s red card against Southampton. The appeal has been rejected. Newcastle United are awaiting reasons for the rejection from the FA.

As I'm sure you will have seen already, Bruno takes on role as Team Captain from Trippier.
This suggests 2 things... Trippier is likely away, but more importantly for #nufc in the long term, Bruno likely stays.
It's well deserved, and his passion is a great leadership trait!

Weird first half. We've looked second best for large parts of it, but also dangerous at times. Was a harsh red, but we shouldn't have given the ref a decision to make. The team look unsettled and almost angry. #nufc

We've looked a little off the pace in the first 15 minutes. A little careless on the ball ans while we've pressed off the ball, it doesn't look quite as joined up as you'd like just yet. #nufc
