To some people anything, and everything, to do with Trump is salacious.

It may get in the next edition of the DSM.

'I refer you to the response in Arkell v Pressdram (1971)' should be the BBC's response

The only response to Trump's legal letter should be: 'I refer you to the response in Arkell v. Pressdram (1971)'.

Synecdoche at work.

This 'BBC' refers to a part of the BBC. It is not to be confused with 'the BBC' that is asking 'the BBC', and not getting an answer from 'the BBC', about the actions of 'the BBC'.

Some might say we are caught up on a synecdochic skewer.

People are people. Dehumanization tells a lot about the people doing the dehumanizing.

You never had that problem with paternoster lifts.

Paternoster's work, or they don't.

Paternoster's allow disembodied spirits free access throughout a building - access all floors.

I'm on tenterhooks ofor the BBC undercover report on malfeasance in the BBC board of governors meetings.

What disguise are they using to get into BBC board of governor meetings?

Top tip: the person who delivers the refreshments is never checked, and has ample opportunity to plant a microphone.

Indie bookshops are a win for everyone.

Your community benefits by having a wonderful local resource.

Authors benefit by being invited to give talks, promote, and sell their books.

Readers benefit by having knowledgeable staff to advise on books, and an opportunity to talk with authors.

Some WWI war memorials are dated 1914 - 1918. That's the Armistice.

Some WWI war memorials are dated 1914 - 1919. That's the Treaty of Versailles.

As to why different cities, towns, and villages, chose different dates for their memorial that's down to local opinion

Camden is deceptively large. It goes from the Hampstead and Highgate to the Strand.

That's some spaghetti junction

What would Bartlet say?
November 9, 2025 at 10:23 AM
Bartleby's session with the careers teacher didn't go too well.

Bartleby did the career aptitude test.

The options offered were:

1 - scrivener in a law office
2 - go to sea and hunt for a particular whale

Being of a pacifist disposition Bartleby felt the office job was more fitting.
