I was surprised to learn that the Harold Washington Library was built as late as the 1990s in this style. Is there anything like this (large brick structure) being built in Toronto recently? Or have we lost the ability to build such things anymore?

Yup, one of the many reasons to be a proud Ontarian. Restarted Bruce A reactors, improved fleet performance and coal phaseout. Some of the operators of the coal plants also moved to Bruce to work at the nuclear plant.

We did export reactors to Korea, India, Pakistan, Romania, Argentina and China. Last year we sold two new CANDU reactors to Romania.

Wtf is this? This is a straight up fantasy, Ontario had huge demand growth after the 50s and a lot of coal was built up to the 70s. Coal was passed out bringing back the nuclear units
