I like that the fandom exudes warmth and support to its members, but this sometimes veers into enabling poor behaviors and stagnation, especially in group contexts.

The downsides of being versatile (since @azban.bsky.social asked ages ago…)
1. I’m not equally versatile with everyone. No one (including me) knows what I’ll want to do with any given person until we try. Sometimes preferences don’t align, and a lot of folks don’t want to take that risk.
