I heard back from the local Secular Franciscans tonight! I'll be attending their July meeting. I can join the Friends of the Fransiscans until I'm confirmed and once confirmed I can begin the discernment process and formation classes. Thanks be to God!

Every day I appeal to God, asking that He frustrates the plans of the cunning in our government. Much can be learned about the patient bearing of trials in the Book of Job, but faith without works is dead. I also seek ways I can actively intervene and be of service to the marginalized and oppressed.

I'm changing my wound dressing today and surprised by what I see. My wound look orders of magnitude better. Never underestimate the power of prayer and a can-do attitude.

Tonight marks the second time in my building that my participation in activities for residents has led to me being harassed. The first was fat-shaming me for signing up for the NYE pizza party. Now it's transphobia from my fellow Catholic neighbor. I think I'll just keep to myself from now on.
