Yes. I get the sincere concern - it is bad - but I’m also not totally convinced this is an extinction level issue among reputable firms. Will it exacerbate the resource divide? Of course. But I’m also reticent to scale the alarm. At least it gives life to more AAPOR panels I suppose.

the upshot i guess is that we can return to even cheaper labor -- students taking surveys by paper in lab buildings. we'll even *create* jobs by having TAs administer the tasks, collecting the sheets, and processing them through the mainframe.
