This weekend I watched a well-regarded new movie and checked out because I couldn't stand the photography. After the movie I flipped on a random Star Trek: The Next Generation episode and immediately thought, "This looks better."

My wife and I watched the Elizabeth Taylor version about 2 years ago. It's tough to recommend, as it's a long time commitment, but I'm glad we watched it.
