I'm right-handed, but have always kept my radios on the lefthand side of the desk - typically I can tune while using a mouse that way. Anyone else do it differently?? Radio in the center or on the right?

Went looking for how to delete a frequency list in SDRConnect... good lord the Google generative AI on this is a total faceplant... it links incorrect videos and gives incorrect advice, including saying to press control-x to delete a frequency list (it exits the program).

So I bought a new handi talkie - it's a TIDRadio TD-H3.

Oh I've got an Icom IC-51, but that thing's expensive, these chinese HTs are so cheap you can leave them in your glove box. If someone steals it you're out $20.

Anyway this is like a 7th generation UV-5R, same programming, antennas fit.

Had a huge windstorm here in Kansas City last week - it blew a large limb down from the tree in the backyard, probably 25 feet long weighing at least 400 or 500 lb from 20 feet up - it absolutely smashed a solid chainlink fence, built 20 years ago, but missed my antennas.

I see there is a CWT contest today - love these sprint contests, once I get fully retired I am going to lean into them.

I consider myself lucky to have learned CW when I was a young teenager, it's like playing a musical instrument, much easier to learn then (but not impossible later).
