As far as images and videos of real people, there doesn't seem to be a good solution for preventing actual non-consent from being posted without harming sex workers and kink artists.

That doesn't answer the question. In fact, that would make it easier for actual non-consent to slip through. There doesn't seem to be a good solution, honestly.

I don't know, honestly. It does feel silly going as far as banning art, but I can see the need for some protections.
As for the CNC thing, how are they supposed to determine if something is CNC or actual non-consent? To me, this feels like going overboard to prevent anything from slipping through.

I mean, if a character looks distressed or fearful and has tears streaming down their face that's a pretty good indicator

I think it's pretty understandable, actually. You're not an anti-semite so you don't look at a hook nosed goblin creature and go "that's a Jewish person". That's part of what makes it a dogwhistle.

We're also talking about legislators who already said they wouldn't vote for this bill. It is entirely possible to nudge them back. Stop with the doomerism.

He's trying to buy time for enough Republicans to be convinced to vote no. You can see higher up in the thread that other people in congress are pushing for the people to call their representatives and urge them to vote no.

I think you need to be 21 to buy weed legally. That doesn't justify huffing keyboard duster, but might be why teenagers are doing it.

This is true. However, we're talking about people who vote for the party that tells them to their face "we're going to take away your health insurance, defund your hospitals, cut grants to your farms, and blame the drug problems on immigrants." over and over again.
