It is a more than reasonable offer that the GOP will still reject. But it gets good beltway press for being bipartisan. Would be better if he led with "this is our best offer. The next won't be so generous". But otherwise seems to be winning the messaging war without giving up anytime

No federal judges are elected in the US. Every state has the ability to decide how their state judiciary is structured. Some states have elected judges and attornies general. Some don't. But in almost all cases
state level jurisprudence is subject to federal appeal.

There is no default algorithm but many algorithmic feeds. And a lot of users follow so many people that viewing their feed chronologically is not possible. So providing curation tools isn't a bad thing.
