@skywalker.thereforeiam.eu another small bug but this one should be easy. A thread that starts with a large emoji also makes the thread icon big.

@skywalker.thereforeiam.eu noticed that in the latest build, when I click on a post to view the thread, it now displays a couple pages down into the replies to the thread. I'd prefer it to either start at the post i clicked on or on the post in the thread immediately below what I clicked.

Worked for me, but . . . When I first pasted it, the reply button wasn't there! Had to click around a bit, hide + show the keyboard and then the button appeared.

Doesn't matter the weather or the time of year. Like a gloomy day with a threat of rain . . . Yeah still insanely photogenic. The lurking clouds just add to the atmosphere.

@skywalker.thereforeiam.eu running the latest main code so this might be a known WIP bug, but some link previews aren't displaying and just leaving a huge white space.

So I've got . . . something. Interesting I seem to have replicated the white screen error in QT 6.8.2 with the link handler code. It works fine when skywalker isn't running but not when the app is in the background. The logs are not very helpful from what I can tell. I'm going to push up

Looks like this in the app. And successfully sharing that photo with skywalker make it look like my code is what broke the activity handler so going to figure that out now

Something else thread related. Not sure how easy it might be to do. When you're viewing a quoted post, it would be nice to have an indication that it is the start of a thread.

I just tested with Starter Villain Kindle for PC 2.4.0.70904 and the latest version of calibre with the KFX input plugin (and no other plugins) and it isn't DRM free

@skywalker.thereforeiam.eu Fun Qt UI quirk. If you're watching a video inline in a feed and you try to scrub it, the swipe to switch feed activity takes over so you switch to the next feed instead of scrubbing the video.

Technically I guess it makes sense but I was still surprised to see a repost of one of my posts show up in my feed with hide reposted paid from followed users set. I'd prefer if that option also hide my posts that someone I follow reposted. Thoughts?

I can save a list to my profile, favorite it, and then view it as a feed. There are starter packs i'd like to do the same thing with but no mechanism for that in BlueSky. Optimally any list could be a starter pack and vice-versa, but that isn't the current design.

Own in what sense? I use a third party open source app for Reddit (Red Reader) and it shows up as being able to handle reddit links in the Android prefs.

Won't work on pocketbooks from what I can tell. Only e-ink readers that run Android, which are not common in the US at least. At least TOR books will be sold DRM free so they'll work anywhere.

Seems like when Skywalker has decided it can't load an image or link preview, the only way to get it to try again is to force kill and restart. If you click on the image, it just shows a black page. However selecting save page from the menu does correctly download the image.

So one odd thing. In this post I can see the euro flag emoji but no other ones. Other national flags also appear
