One of the most absolutely frustrating things about the current moment in this country is the way in which we are constantly held hostage by a tiny, monied/PACed up minority. Of many examples:
3% of Americans Own Half of All Firearms Ownership is highly concentrated: just 3% of Americans own 50% of all firearms. The average gun-owning household has 4.6 firearms. Super-owners with 10+ guns account for 130 million weapons.

Lately I've been doing a project I've been calling (in my head, to no one) American Sunset: a photo every night from the same vantage point at the moment of sunset. Sunsets as the sun sets on this democratic republic. Sunsets looking different each time, even though I'm standing in the same spot.
