While I agree with that, I'm looking for published books in order to learn from writing at a higher standard of quality, with less of the "shortcuts" fanfic takes by necessity. Now, how many modern books actually do that...

"The BookTok sensation" is not the endorsement you think it is, and "slow-burn enemies to lovers" is a fanfic phrase. Why is it in actual published book descriptions. What happened.
