Jalen Chatfield (concussion protocol since Nov. 6) returned to #Canes practice today.

Rod Brind'Amour says it'll be the defenseman's call on when he might return.

"If he's not in tomorrow, I'm sure it'll be on this road trip at some point."
November 18, 2025 at 9:13 PM
Joel Nystrom was picked 219th overall in 2021 and had played just seven pro games in North America before injuries thrust into the #Canes’ lineup.

The way he’s handled it has been amazing to see and he was exceptional tonight.

"I thought it was a solid game. We had a game plan, and the guys stuck to it for the most part.... 20 guys and everyone contributed."

Rod Brind'Amour after tonight's win.

Taylor Hall.

Gross.
November 18, 2025 at 2:58 AM
W!

The #Canes earn a 3-1 win in Boston.

Pyotr Kochetkov was stellar, stopping 27 out of 28 before having his shutout bid spoiled in the dying seconds.

Joel Nystrom enjoys the first multi-point night of his career, factoring in on two goals, just like Taylor Hall.
November 18, 2025 at 2:57 AM
No way 😩

The Bruins spoil Pyotr Kochetkov's shutout bid with 9.6 left in regulation.

Bummer.

3-1.
November 18, 2025 at 2:56 AM
Wow!

The puck was on edge, and Hall made the most of it.
November 18, 2025 at 2:56 AM
The #Canes extend their lead to 3-0 with 2:33 to go!

Taylor Hall scores against his former team on a nifty solo effort.
November 18, 2025 at 2:55 AM
40 minutes down, 20 (o̶r̶ m̶o̶r̶e̶) to go. 2-0, #Canes.

It took us a while to get the game's first goal, and Carolina earned it with their work boots.

Nice to see them with some cushion now as we go to the finish.

Mark Jankowski was a goal-scoring machine after being acquired at the trade deadline last year.

He's had to play different roles and wait his turn this season, so it's great to see him finally get one tonight.
November 18, 2025 at 1:47 AM
Taylor Hall's initial shot actually hit Jankowski, but it dropped perfectly at his feet for him to whack home.

Great to see #77 on the board with his first of the year.
November 18, 2025 at 1:45 AM
Mark Jankowski doubles the #Canes' lead!

More excellent net-front work makes it a 2-0 game.
November 18, 2025 at 1:45 AM
What strength from Jordan Staal. 💪

Winning the net-front battle with one hand, poking home the game's first goal with the other.
November 18, 2025 at 1:44 AM
Another steady shift from the Captain's line results in gold.

Joel Nystrom let the initial shot fly, giving him his second NHL point.
November 18, 2025 at 1:43 AM
The #Canes get the first one in Boston!

Jordan Staal one-hands home a loose puck.
November 18, 2025 at 1:43 AM
Done with 20 minutes in Boston. Still 0-0.

Carolina's penalty kill looked very good in their lone two-minute effort.

Pyotr Kochetkov's biggest save came late in the frame.
November 18, 2025 at 1:16 AM
Domenick Fensore is confirmed as the healthy extra. Whoever "wasn't feeling great" earlier today, will play for the #Canes.

Pyotr Kochetkov leads the #Canes to the ice for warmups at TD Garden.

It'll be his fourth start of the year, entering 3-0.
November 17, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Rod Brind'Amour confirms to /hannaRyates that recalling Domenick Fensore was to have an extra on the blue line to start a week on the road.

However, he also hinted that one player wasn't feeling great.

We'll see if that means anything more, and who starts in net, at 6:30.
November 17, 2025 at 10:27 PM
Nikolaj Ehlers enters tonight's contest in Boston with a seven-game point streak.

He is just the fourth #Canes player in the past 15 years to record a point streak of seven or more games in their first season with the team, joining Jake Guentzel, Brent Burns, and Seth Jarvis.
November 17, 2025 at 6:12 PM
The #Canes are 5-1-1 in their last seven and begin a four-game stint away from home tonight in Boston.

No morning skate for the team to start the day, so Rod Brind'Amour will speak to reporters around 4:45 p.m.
November 17, 2025 at 3:55 PM
Cayden Primeau stopped 35/37, and Josiah Slavin had a pair of helpers in tonight's Wolves win.

Leon Draisaitl wins it for Edmonton just 19 seconds into overtime.

4-3 is tonight's final.

The #Canes move to 12-5-1, suffering their first post-regulation loss of the season.
November 16, 2025 at 2:55 AM
For the second time in as many nights, we're headed to overtime at Lenovo Center.

The #Canes and Oilers remain tied at 3-3.

Carolina is 4-0 in OT this season, while Edmonton is 4-4.
