W!

Playing in front of family and friends, Brandon Bussi records his second NHL shutout, getting the #Canes a 2-0 win over the Rangers.

Andrei Svechnikov and Jordan Staal were the goal-scorers, and Carolina is headed into the Olympic break on a 10-game point streak!

The Captain is going into the break with goals in three consecutive games and a five-game point streak.

Nice work from Nikolaj Ehlers to make it happen.
February 6, 2026 at 2:39 AM
Jordan Staal hits the empty net and the #Canes go up 2-0 in the final minute!
February 6, 2026 at 2:39 AM
40 minutes down, 20 (o̶r̶ m̶o̶r̶e̶) to go. Still 1-0, #Canes.

No change in scoring, but Carolina really took hold of the game in that period.

As /corylav pointed out a few moments ago, five-on-five shot attempts are 56-14 in favor of Rod Brind'Amour's group.

Done with 20 minutes in New York City. 1-0, #Canes.

A good start, and certainly another level to get to.

The Rangers generated just three shots at five-on-five.

Andrei Svechnikov starts the night right. 🚀

He now has nine goals in his last 10 games.
February 6, 2026 at 12:34 AM
What a rip.

If there's one guy who doesn't want the Olympic break, it's Svech, who has been absolutely buzzing since mid-January.
February 6, 2026 at 12:32 AM
The #Canes open the scoring just 6:26 in at MSG!

Andrei Svechnikov jumps into the play, works to the slot, fires, and scores.
February 6, 2026 at 12:32 AM
The more the merrier. 🙌
