Not to validate a frothing troll by responding to this idiocy, but it's worth saying that this is outrageously false. E.g. the first trans person I met (over 20 years ago) was through my DnD group, in a conservative white Christian area of South Africa.

Another use perhaps would be using the Kindle as a recipe book and not wanting to smudge the screen while cooking.

If it gives you something to look forward to, the climax depends much more on audio than visuals.

It's really, really worthwhile. Really worthwhile. I urge you to give it a real go.

Unlike the OP, I sadly never got a photo of him holding a book I wrote.

When I was at University College Dublin, I was involved in our Irish Young Philosopher Awards, which he was a big supporter of. It was great to see not only him come by every year and engage with the school children, but how they obviously loved him.

I then just repeated that word every day until I got a Wordle in one

I have scored a Wordle in one by choosing the word that (a) was in the list of possible answers, and (b) hasn't appeared as an answer yet, which (c) scored the highest by the metrics I was using for best starting word. This was back when the list of possible answers was public.

Am astonishing example of the same is in Berlin's Museum island. The Neues Museum has signs up complaining about how items were taken by the Russians during their occupation, but it also has a whole room of ancient Egyptian tomb goods. Next door the Pergamon Museum has one of Babylon's city gates.

I haven't thought of this trope before, but it seems like the scene in Andor S1 where Syril and his corpo cop buddies drop ship into Ferrix is a great example of this used for the villains

For some of us that's part of the attraction 🤘

I'm describing this from memory (and autocorrect is mangling my posts), but I routinely clean out thousands of philos-l posts using the category for them that I set up using mail filters, so it is possible. Play around with the options there a bit and you'll come right.
September 9, 2025 at 12:15 PM
I think when you set up a filter it asks whether you want to apply it to all Mark in your inbox? Drive you can set up a filter to delete mail, I'm that car you can just set up a filter to delete philos-l mail and off you go
September 9, 2025 at 12:09 PM
*for instance. Also, a clean way to use this is to use the filter to add a category to posts (I have philos-l in its own category). Or in your case to have the filter delete all of them.
September 9, 2025 at 12:08 PM
Yes. You can set up a filter (for insurance, for emails you receive from philos-l), then go to the page for that filter, select all, check the option to select all conversations and not just those on that page, and delete them (or perform any of the available actions).

Typical enshitification; they'll refuse giving the public what they want and only ever sell these separately, so we have to pay for it multiple times over 😔

Anyway, I was wrong and I apologise
