Sunday sunrise club outtakes, adversarially illuminated edition. Polarizer helped to squeeze out some contrast between the cloud layers in the capitol photo. Aggressive backlighting is challenging.

Did an overnight imaging plan on Andromeda galaxy about a month ago and then forgot about processing it. 150mm f/5 newt, ASI533MC, IR/UV cutoff filter, 6 hours of exposure. #astrophotography

Sunday Sunrise Club outtakes, MSP Aircraft Viewing Area (with a bit of razor wire) edition.

More Sunday Sunrise Club outtakes. These ones are from Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge.
Long exposure during sunrise. It's very still but there is a streak of airplane nav lights against the dark clouds. Bright orange sunbeams are coming through the tree in the left side of the photo, and the sunrise illuminates otherwise somewhat dark clouds. A tiny silhouette of a flying bird is in the center.

Sunday Sunrise Club outtakes from couple weeks ago (I am a terrible procrastinator). Ford Parkway Bridge is a really good vantage point, and the river can be astonishingly calm in the morning.

A few outtakes from Sunday Sunrise Club photowalk last weekend. It was very fun!
A view from Stone Arch Bridge towards Eleven on the River high-rise building. The clouds are lit pink by the rising sun, but the sun is not visible yet, and the trees by the river are shady. Interior of an atrium, it is painted green. Exposed elevator shafts face the atrium. There are spherical accent lights in a grid pattern, and the sky is visible through the glass roof. The perspective is at gratuitous and maybe not fully committed constructivist angle to make more of the interior geometry fit into the field of view.

This makes me regret not pursuing law-adjacent career. Could be commenting on booty instead of trying to charm lightning in grains of sand.
Commentary On The Law Of Prize And Booty by Hugo Grotius. It had 649 pages and relates to seizure of assets at sea, rather than booty in the layperson sense of the term.

γ Cas with friends. IC 63 is pretty visible, IC 59 significantly less so (but it's there on the left if you squint just right). About 5 hours of exposure with a 150mm newt and ASI533MC. #astrophotography
The photo is dominated by Gamma Cassiopeiae star system with huge diffraction spikes in lower right. IC 63 nebula is visible in upper part of the photo as a V-shape. Fainter nebula on the left is IC 59.
