Hack around and find out.
Ex @ eyeo (adblock plus), now @ Dahlke Tech
I realized that I actually did quite some side projects that were successful where I _teached_ how to achieve what they want themselves, I just did the initial setup and provided infrastructure.

Working with LLMs is a skill that is often based on what you enjoyed about your work. People who love the outcome vs people who love the process.

If you enjoy the process of writing, coding, etc then you’ll hate working with LLMs but if you most enjoyed the finished product then they’re a good tool

Seems like the "AI revolution" in software development is holding companies back mostly by legal concerns. We can't adopt AI because we aren't allowed to "send code to third parties". And the code licencing is a trouble too, which is even harder to solve.

The other day called myself "a 1x engineer" when talking with a boss. Honestly or stupidity?

From this www.reddit.com/r/Programmer... Reddit thread I learned that in 2025 people use per-user salt. We didn't do it in 2010! I clearly remember one project wise salt in CakePHP.

Russians dropped a glide bomb on elderly people who were waiting in line for their pensions. More than 20 dead.

Please. Don’t look away and don’t be silent. This is all I could ask for

I discovered the whole new world of Kotlin Compose HTML. If more mature, it could easily take a big chunk of the industry. It is very impressive what Jetbrains and the Kotlin community did.

Imagine you're starting a project with a friend, who brings his brother as a backend engineer. He doesn't like serverless, he is building an API, a "backend" and is gonna set up infrastructure.
The project is an app that we want to check market fit for.
Your actions?

Cloudflare content delivery is fast, but their Worker DX sucks. They have so much of everything, so many tools, nevertheless I spent almost two days setting up a workflow deploying a static SvelteKit site into custom route (domain) and preview urls for PRs. And I am not finished yet!

Svelte runes-based timer class:

svelte.dev/playground/6...

- It's declarative
- No need to hooks up callbacks
- Can bind to properties: duration, elapsed, time, status (running/stopped)

1. Vite can import assets and one doesn't have to keep them in `static`
2. CDNs and Unpic

"I hired a dev and they are lazy AF".
Wanna see your devs working twice/10x as effective? Tell them why they do something and how their work made someone's life better. Tell them how many users you've got. Dahm, tell them how much more money you made, most of them will be thrilled. Give em sense.
