3) Their genetics are just okay. They're bred to be workhorses with queens that lay 2k eggs per day. They breed queens so they are more or less disposable. It's cheaper and easier to requeen this way than allow for the natural process.

3) It is regular practice to harvest honey then feed sugar water. It is best practice to supplement that with probiotics and other nutrients. It gets expensive to do that, so most commercial beekeepers don't.

1) Beekeeping here. The bee losses this year are from commercial beekeepers. It is very concerning, will cost lots of money, and affect force pollinated crops like almonds, BUT it is not surprising. Here is why.

Commercial beekeeping is run like any other factory farm agriculture.

I live in NC. The mask ban exists. To my knowledge it has never been enforced. People still mask. In fact, we're seeing an uptick in masking. Mask bans are still bad.

I can't get Movantik due to cost, but have had good luck with triphala. I've considered caraway as well.
