Finally got to watch (the first two episodes so far of) the new King of the Hill and frankly the animation looks like shit and Dale's new voice actor doesn't sound like him but aside from that, it's alright.

Charlie Warzel writes that an X update shows that foreign accounts are posing as Americans and piping political spam into people’s timelines. Musk may have revealed that the platform he’s long called “the number 1 source of news on Earth” is really just a worthless, poisoned hall of mirrors.

I ordered a ranch water at the bar last night thinking it would be like a beer glass with a shot of tequila and a bunch of soda water and lime, but no. It was a little rocks glass with probably two shots, topped off with soda water and a lime wedge garnish.

Texas' abortion ban has killed another woman.

Let's be very clear: Republicans are killing women. Democrats need to start calling them murderers loudly and often.

Not mentioned in this article: schools have even replaced whiteboards with giant screens. My teen complains that "the Promethean" makes it impossible to reduce screen time.

The most French thing I'll read about all day
A French cyclist survived for three days after a horrendous 130-foot fall into a ravine, kept alive by the bottles of red wine he had in his shopping bag, police said.

It drives me crazy that Biden forgave a bunch of student loans for college grads but the minimum wage hasn't been raised since 2009.
One compelling conclusion in the report: Biden admin was reluctant to pick “fights worth having” and settled for incremental gains out of “risk aversion.”

My latest: For the moment, Trump has stuffed the Israeli hard right into a locker, vetoing settlements in Gaza and annexation of the West Bank. One far-right politician even boycotted his Knesset speech. But if Trump doesn't keep them in a box, they'll capsize all plans for peace in the Middle East:
Can Trump Contain Israel’s Hard Right?
Israel’s extremists aren’t giving up on settling Gaza. Trump’s regional agenda depends on restraining them.

I really want to rearrange my big, rectangular living/dining room so the living and dining areas are swapped, but it's going to be a lot of work. I can't even move the TV alone. But I have drawn a plan on graph paper, and I really think the room will work better that way. Just daydreaming about it.
