It comes down to bandwidth. I see the need for change, but getting people into govt who can take on billionaires will require common cause with folks not on the left who’ll be easily peeled off if they think we’re going to take away their burgers. And you know that’s how it will get played.

I’m not a Brit, but I think you should certainly have on any MP, regardless of party, willing to debate in good faith. If they start stonewalling or mouthing party line BS, then end the interview. BTW, this is how you will become a better interviewer.
