Crucial Code of Conduct Clarification Hello kind MFF organizer, I am so excited to attend this year's convention as a respite from the absolute chaos of this year. I appreciate MFF's announcement addressing the concerns around military and tactical gear amid the terrorization efforts of ICE and other militarized police forces in our city and throughout the country. It is reassuring to know that you recognize this year's con brings unique challenges however I believe your policies need further clarification in order to be effective. The verbiage currently used in the Code of Conduct is vague and will lead to conflict for staffers enforcing the policy and confusion from attendees who wish to abide by the policy. Please adopt a clear policy prohibiting attendees from wearing items that can be mistaken at a distance for modern law enforcement, military, or paramilitary, such as tactical gear. Big Little Fur Con has already provided easily adoptable and enforceable verbiage which I have copied and linked below.
