Norway deeply regrets the new US sanctions against ICC judges. Such measures undermine the International Criminal Court as a whole.

Norway supports the Court unequivocally and urges all States to refrain from efforts to compromise its ability to perform its mandate impartially and independently.

On Ukrainian Independence Day, our embassy and the Norwegian desk at Europol joined the Run for Ukraine, honouring those who gave their lives for Ukraine’s freedom. As Russia's attacks continue, our support for Ukraine remains steadfast.

Today, 8 May, we commemorate Norway’s liberation. Peace, freedom and democracy are hard-won. We honour our veterans and express our deep gratitude.

At 8pm today, the national observance of Remembrance Day takes place in the Netherlands. Our embassy joins the two minutes of silence that are observed across the country to commemorate the Dutch victims of war.
