Lewis Miley was excellent in the first half tonight. Ran the game. His passing is excellent off both feet given his age. A couple of mistakes but very encouraging. Great to see osula get a couple but still think he looks better from wide rather than CF . Good option though and loads of fun

Villa have been scrambling around all summer for deals they can do rather than deals they want to do. PSR has well and truly gripped - just like it did NUFC. At least the isak sale puts that on the horizon for a while and gives us the option to strengthen in Jan if we need to. Need a striker now tho

What I’m confused about is if Isak has given up his loyalty bonus entitlement to facilitate the transfer - why didn’t he just hand a transfer request in?

Easy to say this is retrospect but nufc were dominating the match. We could’ve dropped back and still conceded. Let’s not worry about what ifs . Just be fucking proud 🙌🙌
That is reminiscent of the Milan home game. Sometimes you should take a draw. We were far too open in extra time one man down. Liverpool took their chances well but look suspect at the back .

Last season we were 12th in December and shite. It went great. This squad looks miles ahead of where it was last season- minus one massive cunt. We will be just fine. Proud of the lads and nobody to blame. Gordon was silly but at least he was giving his all. We are Newcastle united 🙌 #nufc

For balance both statements released last night have holes. Isak doesn’t confirm which promises broken and doesn’t claim he was told he could leave. NUFC adamant he was never told he could leave but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t promised a new contract. Doesn’t excuse his conduct though
